The Good News Bible is a Thought for Thought translation.  A very simple, readable version that I would recommended to anyone with English as their second language, for the New Christian just starting out,  For Children,  or anyone who is wanting an easy to read and understand translation. Very Similar to the CEV (Contemporary English Version).
